Peace-of-Mind with B&D Safety Beams
While all B&D automatic garage door motors feature built-in auto-reverse functionality to stop the door from colliding with an object, Safety Beams are specially designed to prevent potential injury to people or damage to valuables. B&D strongly recommend safety beams if you have kids or pets.
Infrared sensors are placed on either side of your garage door, inches above the ground. When the door begins to close, the sensors are immediately activated. If a sensor recognises something in the path of the door closing, such as a child, pet or car, it stops the door & immediately reverses it back up.

We have 2 options; a stylish white button version comes standard with your opener or a wall-mounted with extra-large buttons is also available.
